Yes!! I know this has nothign to do with the kpop world but it just had to be put in. And what a better time to put it in than my first post of the year.
As im sure many of you know the winter olympics(my favoruite olympics) has started in the vancouver. If you did know ; are you even on this earth?^^
When we think of korea and the olympics the first thought that comes to mind is Kim Yuna, right?
Well Yuna hasnt had her chance to shine yet(cause her event hasnt started), it is however two other olympians time to shine.
Mo Tae bum(only 21)and Lee Sang hwa(only 20!!) managed to scrape in two GOLDs in for korea in the 500 speed ski racing. For those f you who dont haev a clue what im talkign about its basically ice skating, but really really really fast(and i mean fast). These two winners managed to win both the male and female events which tells me that there just someting about korea and runnign fast on ice that goes together.This makes both of them number one in the WORLD for that event!
[UPDATE]A Side from these two wins Lee Jung su(only 21) managed to scrape in another gold in the short track racing as well asLee Seung-Hoo(again only 21) who managed to bring korea silver in the mens 500 speed skate.
Anyways congratualtions to all of these great athletes, im sure korea will be celebrating.
Lets hope korea can make that a 4th gold when Kim Yuna takes to the ice for her solo figure skate!!!.

[UPDATE] Well done again to Mo Tae Bum who managed to get korea another silver for his 1000m speed skating event. He was however rediculously close to gold. he manged to hold this position for about 2 heats before loosing the gold by just 0.18 seconds-WTF!!-. He shouldnt feel to bad though seeing as it was to the worlds greatest speed skating who has manged to hold the title for 4 years! he should be pround as he was up againt some of the worlds best speed skaters and managed to come out of no where. This must be a great week for Tae Bum as he also celebrated his birthday on the 15th!!what a great present ! Well done Tae Bum and lets hope koreas winning streak continues!!
